Kharge slams Shah over absence, CJP crackdown

Rajya Sabha Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge criticized Home Minister Amit Shah for his absence from Parliament and silence on the police crackdown during the July 20 'Chalo Sansad' march by the Cockroach Janta Party. Kharge also dismissed the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026, as an eyewash, alleging it only introduces stricter punishments without addressing root causes. BJP leaders objected to his remarks as unparliamentary.
