Delhi drops cases against CJP protesters, excludes criminals

The Delhi government has directed that no further adverse legal action be taken against participants in the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protest march, except those with criminal antecedents, according to a Home Department order. The order follows 13 FIRs registered in connection with violence during the July 20 'Chalo Sansad' march. Police identified over 2,800 people with criminal backgrounds using facial recognition. Arrests already made will be reviewed and releases expedited, as per the order.
