Peak District National Park marks 75 years

Seventy-five years after becoming England's first national park, the Peak District commemorates the 1932 Kinder Scout mass trespass that helped open the countryside to the public. Led by 20-year-old Benny Rothman, 400 walkers defied private landowners, leading to arrests but galvanizing the movement for public access and the creation of the UK's national park system.
