The meeting focused on a whole-of-government approach to ensure energy security, with Cabinet Secretary TV Somanathan briefing on adequate crude oil stocks allowing refineries to operate at full capacity. Measures include diversifying LPG sources, expanding PNG infrastructure, and ensuring fertilizer supplies for the upcoming Rabi season. Modi also directed a dedicated mechanism for the safety of Indian seafarers in conflict zones.
