Brazil Denies Visas to US Officials Over Election Fears

Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva confirmed his government denied visas to two US officials, accusing them of trying to interfere in October's election. The officials, Riley M Barnes and Samuel Samson, planned to visit for discussions on freedom and election integrity and meet candidate Flávio Bolsonaro. Brazil cited concerns they would cast doubt on the electoral system. The US State Department rejected the claim.
