ICE seeks $470K fine over fake asylum filings

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is seeking more than $470,000 in fines from New York lawyer Suraj Raj Singh for allegedly filing over 100 false documents in asylum cases. The agency claims Singh submitted identical or nearly identical declarations in 54 immigration cases, expanding its use of financial penalties against attorneys to combat immigration fraud.
