Indian weightlifter Lovepreet Singh clinched the silver medal in the men's +110kg category at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Thursday, finishing with a combined lift of 388kg—just 1kg behind New Zealand's David Liti, who took gold with 389kg. England's Andrew Griffiths secured bronze with 356kg. Lovepreet led after the snatch with 176kg, but Liti's decisive 223kg clean and jerk overturned a 15kg deficit, denying India gold by the narrowest margin.
