Mandela Barnes dropped out of the Democratic primary for Wisconsin governor on Thursday, less than two weeks before the Aug. 11 election. The former lieutenant governor cited a Marquette Law School poll showing Francesca Hong leading significantly. Barnes is the third Democrat to exit the race, following Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez and Missy Hughes. Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley, endorsed by Gov. Tony Evers, remains in the race.
