Lovepreet Singh wins silver in weightlifting at Commonwealth Games

India's Lovepreet Singh clinched a fighting silver in the men's +110kg weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games, finishing with a total of 388kg. New Zealand's David Andrew Liti took gold with 389kg, edging Lovepreet by just 1kg. Lovepreet set a Games record in snatch (176kg) but Liti's 223kg clean and jerk proved decisive. The 28-year-old improved from his bronze in 2022.
