Britain's Labour Party has readmitted Diane Abbott, the country's longest-serving female MP, after a year-long suspension over controversial comments about racism. The whip was restored following a process approved by an independent review board. Abbott received a formal warning for a separate post. Joani Reid was also reinstated. The decisions come under new leader Andy Burnham, who succeeded Keir Starmer.
