Bihar school students protest lack of facilities, march 4 km

Around 50 students from Simuara Middle School in Bihar's Gaya district marched 4 km to the Tikari Sub-Divisional Office on Tuesday, protesting poor mid-day meal quality, lack of drinking water, toilets, electricity, fans, and inadequate teaching. The SDM formed an inquiry committee and ordered improvements within days. Subsequent show-cause notices were issued to the headmaster and seven teachers, and their salaries for the protest day were withheld.
