F-35B stealth fighter crashes near Miramar, pilot ejects

A U.S. Marine Corps F-35B jet crashed Friday near Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, and the pilot ejected and was taken to a medical facility. The Marines termed it a “Class A mishap,” the most severe category, and said the cause is under investigation. A brush fire near the wreckage was responded to by firefighters.
