Chopra silver, India double podium at CWG 2026

Neeraj Chopra won silver in the men's javelin throw at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow, finishing behind Sri Lanka's Rumesh Pathirage. Chopra's best throw of 85.83m was not enough to match Pathirage's 89.75m gold-winning effort. India celebrated a memorable double podium as Yashvir Singh took bronze with a personal best 85.41m, while Rohit Yadav finished seventh and Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem placed ninth.
