Delhi protest wounds from pellet guns, experts say

Independent ballistic experts have confirmed that injuries sustained by supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party during last week's Delhi protest were caused by pellet guns, saying the dozens of tiny round punctures are tell-tale signs of birdshot. Tens of thousands had marched toward parliament on 20 July to demand education reforms, prompting a police crackdown that left 60 protesters and 118 personnel injured. The government has not yet confirmed use of pellet guns, which would be a first in the capital.
