Venezuela government, opposition to hold US-backed election talks

Venezuela's government and a faction of the opposition will begin US-backed talks on Saturday to pave the way for elections, with Nobel laureate Maria Corina Machado excluded. Opposition delegation led by Dinorah Figuera will push for electoral reforms, while government negotiator Jorge Rodriguez seeks sanctions relief.
