Climate crisis supercharges Europe's wildfire weather, study finds

A new analysis by the World Weather Attribution consortium found that global heating made hot, dry and windy wildfire conditions at least 20 times more likely in Spain and twice as likely in France. The study links the climate crisis to Europe's deadly summer and devastating fires, which have also hit the UK and Greece, where three firefighters died.
