Gazans Skeptical as Trump Announces Hamas Disarmament Deal

President Donald Trump announced a deal for Hamas to disarm and Israel to withdraw from Gaza, but Palestinians greeted the news with scant hope as Israeli strikes continued and conditions on the ground remained dire. Most of Gaza's 2 million residents are displaced or living in tent camps amid disease outbreaks. Ceasefire negotiations have stalled since October, with each side accusing the other of violations, and more than 1,200 Palestinians have been killed.
