Teen's Device Turns Air Moisture Into Water for Farms

Roy Kim, a 13-year-old Oregon student, has invented a device that turns air moisture into water, offering a sustainable irrigation source for drought-prone farms. Using a Peltier module, it condenses vapor into liquid; testing produced 10ml in two hours. Kim is among top-10 finalists in the 3M Young Scientist Challenge, with winners announced October 12-13, 2026.
