PM Modi Hails India's Stellar Medal Haul at CWG 2026

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Indian athletes after a memorable Saturday at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, where boxers, judokas and track and field athletes won 16 medals — eight gold, five silver and three bronze. In a series of social media posts, Modi praised individual gold-medallists including boxers Preeti, Jasmine Lamboria, Sakshi, Priya Ghangas, Arundhati Choudhary and Sachin Siwach, and para athlete Soman Rana, who secured India's first-ever Commonwealth gold in the men's shot put F57 event.
