Pakistan's July terror toll hits 606 in deadliest month of 2026

Pakistan recorded its deadliest month of 2026 in July, with 606 people killed and 232 injured in terrorist attacks and counter-terrorism operations, according to the Islamabad-based Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies. Security forces suffered their highest monthly death toll since January 2023, with 112 personnel killed, while 401 militants died—the most in over a decade. Violence surged most sharply in Balochistan, where deaths rose 241% from June.
