Stratolaunch’s Talon-A hypersonic vehicle reaches 10 flights

Stratolaunch's autonomous, air-launched Talon-A hypersonic vehicle has surpassed 10 successful flights, the California-based company announced. The reusable craft, which travels at more than five times the speed of sound, is dropped from carrier planes Roc or Spirit of Mojave and lands on a runway in California. Missions test sensors and advanced materials for defense customers like the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
