Scotland Passes Commonwealth Baton to India, Ahmedabad to Host 2030

Glasgow brought the 2026 Commonwealth Games to a close Sunday as Scotland formally handed the flag and ceremonial baton to India, with Ahmedabad set to host the 2030 centenary edition. Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra, IOA president PT Usha and Gujarat Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi received the handover. The ceremony featured Indo-Scottish performances by Shankar Mahadevan, Manushi Chhillar, Simple Minds and Delta Goodrem. India finished fourth with 39 medals.
