Global Warming Nearly Doubled Since 2015, Study Finds

Global warming has accelerated to about 0.35°C per decade since 2015—nearly double the 1970–2015 rate—according to a Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research study. With over 98% statistical certainty across five major datasets, scientists say the 1.5°C Paris limit could be exceeded before 2030. The findings appear in Geophysical Research Letters.
