MP Pappu Yadav claims knife attack; accused says only slippers

Independent MP Pappu Yadav alleged a man tried to attack him with a knife during a press conference, while the accused said he and a companion only threw slippers after being beaten. The clash followed Yadav's Parliament protest dressed as a saffron-robed priest over alleged theft at Ayodhya's Ram Temple. A complaint against Yadav was also filed in Varanasi.
