Sher-e-Punjab T20 League launched; Gill, Arshdeep to feature

The inaugural Sher-e-Punjab T20 League was launched Sunday at the PCA International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, with India captain Shubman Gill and pacer Arshdeep Singh among the star attractions. The tournament, running August 30 to September 13, will feature six franchises across Punjab in 27 round-robin matches. The player auction is set for August 9, with each team holding a Rs 45 lakh purse to build a 20-player squad.
