Two Workers Killed in Japan Mall Blast After Boss Ordered Them Back

Two store employees died in an explosion at an earthquake-hit Aeon Mall in Kumamoto after their boss instructed them to return to secure cash. Employer Habita apologized for the inappropriate instructions. The magnitude 6.8 quake on 28 July killed 38 people, including seven at the mall. One victim, 22-year-old Kurumi Otake, was told to move money to a safe. A company director said, "It was not worth a life."
