Austria Breaks Heat Records as Japan Braces for Typhoon Dolphin

Austria sweltered through record heat with Wieselburg hitting 40.3C, just shy of the national all-time high, while Typhoon Dolphin barreled toward Japan and Taiwan after weakening to a category 3 storm. The typhoon, which earlier reached category 5 with 175mph winds, is forecast to hit Okinawa as a category 1 or 2, posing storm surge risks. Vancouver, meanwhile, saw its wettest July since 2016.
