Prashant Kishor wins Bankipur bypoll, snapping BJP's 30-year hold

Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor won Bihar's Bankipur Assembly bypoll, defeating BJP's Neeraj Kumar by 19,324 votes. The result ended the BJP's three-decade dominance of the seat, which fell vacant after Nitin Nabin's election to the Rajya Sabha. BJP chief Nabin accepted the unexpected mandate and promised a serious introspection, while Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary congratulated Kishor on the victory.
