Japan's Cabinet adopted an annual defense paper Tuesday saying the country must adapt to new methods of warfare such as drones and artificial intelligence seen in Ukraine and the Middle East, and strengthen its defense industry. The paper calls China Japan's biggest strategic challenge and cites growing Chinese naval activity in the Pacific. Japan is also developing combat drones to offset a shrinking military workforce.
