Tiger sharks brave hurricanes to scavenge on storm-killed prey

Tiger sharks, renowned for eating almost anything from antelopes to TVs, also defy conventional wisdom by staying in shallow waters during hurricanes. Tracking during Hurricane Matthew in the Bahamas in 2016, researchers found sharks arrived rather than fled, feasting on storm-killed marine life. Their scavenging helps maintain ocean health, though they are among the three most dangerous sharks to humans.
