A soldier in Russian-annexed Crimea killed four people — a fellow serviceman and three civilians — before being detained, the region's Moscow-installed governor said. The gunman opened fire on colleagues, wounding one, then attacked civilians in the village of Khmelnytske, killing two men aged 71 and 59 and a 64-year-old woman. Three others were injured. The motive is under investigation. Russia has controlled the peninsula since 2014, a move most countries reject as occupation.
