UFC loses $30m on White House Freedom 250 event

UFC owners lost $30m (£22m) staging the Freedom 250 event at the White House in June, an invite-only celebration of US independence attended by President Donald Trump. Despite the anticipated loss, parent company TKO Group reported a 29% rise in UFC revenue to $535.7m for Q2, boosted by a new Paramount broadcast deal. The event drew 34 million viewers worldwide.
