Drifting SpaceX rocket set to hit the Moon on 5 August

A drifting upper stage of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is expected to impact the Moon on 5 August at about 06:35 GMT, creating a new crater near Einstein Crater. Nasa says the impact poses no danger to Earth and will be tracked for scientific purposes. Astronomers hope the debris plume will sharpen models of lunar impacts and expose fresh subsurface material.
