Refuse collectors recover Italian woman's €1m lottery ticket

Refuse collectors in Italy's southern Puglia region recovered a €1m winning instant lottery ticket that an anonymous woman had thrown away by mistake. The ticket, found intact after a day-long search of a garbage truck, was traced when the woman realized her regular numbers — tied to a loved one — had won. She must cover the search costs incurred by the public agency SANB.
