Apple briefly suspends Telegram over child sexual abuse material

Apple briefly removed Telegram from its App Store worldwide after the iPhone maker said a single user had posted child sexual abuse material, a spokesperson confirmed. The app was restored the same day once Telegram removed the content and banned the user. Telegram, which has over a billion monthly users, said it blocks such material but questioned whether Apple will apply the same standard to all apps, drawing criticism from Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney.
