Spokane wildfires destroy 700 homes; arson suspect arrested

Wind-driven wildfires in eastern Washington destroyed more than 700 homes near Spokane, forcing over 60,000 people to evacuate over the weekend. Authorities arrested Aaron Farinacci, 37, on suspicion of first-degree arson in connection with the largest blaze, the Old Trails Fire; he is held on a $1m bond. Investigators believe the fire was intentionally set using matches or a lighter.
