Donated Illinois farmhouse burns down after training 100 firefighters

A four-generation family farmhouse in Illinois was burned down after serving as a realistic training ground for about 100 firefighters. The Kestel family donated the vacant home to the New Lenox Fire Protection District, which held three days of live-fire exercises with crews from three communities. Officials said such donated houses are rare and provide invaluable experience that metal training buildings cannot match.
