India Extradites 274 Fugitives From 36 Nations Since 2019

India has repatriated 274 fugitives from 36 countries since 2019, a nearly tenfold jump from the four a year extradited between 2004 and 2013, the home ministry said Tuesday. Fugitives include those wanted for murder, terror, organised crime and sexual offences. Assets worth Rs 17,874 crore were attached under PMLA, with Rs 18,762 crore restituted. Home Minister Amit Shah credited new laws, global partnerships and an intelligence-led strategy.
