US revokes Brazil ambassador's visa amid election spat

The Trump administration revoked the visa of Brazil's ambassador to the United States, Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti, in retaliation for Brazil's denial of visas to two US diplomats and its stalling on President Donald Trump's nominee for ambassador. Officials said Viotti is not being expelled and could resume duties if Brazil accepts former Florida House speaker Danny Perez. Brazilian President Lula accused the US officials of seeking to meddle in Brazil's elections; Washington dismissed the claim.
