Viagra ingredient may help stop cancer spread, study finds

Israeli researchers at the Weizmann Institute found that sildenafil, Viagra's active ingredient, disrupts cancer cells' cholesterol supply, curbing metastasis in mouse and human models. The drug also disables immune-suppressing cells, aiding natural killer cells. Patients taking sildenafil and statins before diagnosis showed higher survival rates. Human trials are needed to determine dosage, efficacy, and suitable cancer types.
