Indian women say online abuse followed CJP protest participation

Women who took part in India’s Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protests say they have been subjected to online abuse, including rape threats and doctored images, after posting videos and memes critical of PM Narendra Modi. The youth-led movement helped force the resignation of the education minister. Many women say they have since deleted accounts, while police have opened criminal cases against some protesters.
