JD(S) leader announces three-day march against Bidadi project

JD(S) youth leader Nikhil Kumaraswamy announced a three-day protest march from August 9-11, 2026, from Bhairamangala to Freedom Park in Bengaluru to stop the Bidadi township project, accusing the Congress government of a ₹33,000 crore real estate scam involving 7,480 acres of farmland. He said the project threatens farmers' livelihoods and called for unity. Chief Minister DK Shivakumar earlier said it was not his dream project.
