BJP MP demands Zuckerberg apology over Modi video removal

BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, chair of a parliamentary committee, demanded Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg personally apologize for the removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Facebook post. Dubey warned that if no apology is given, Meta's safe harbor protection under Section 79 of the IT Act should be withdrawn. Opposition MPs disagreed, while Meta expressed regret and its executives are set to meet officials on August 5-6.
