Parl panel gives Meta 3-day ultimatum over PM Modi video removal

India's Parliamentary Committee on Communications and Information Technology has issued a three-day ultimatum to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to apologize for the temporary removal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's video and take action against those responsible, or face revocation of safe harbour protections and legal action. The panel, led by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey, called the deletion an "attack on democracy." The video, Modi's first direct selfie video addressing Gen Z on paper leaks, was briefly restricted on Facebook but restored after backlash.
