RBI keeps repo rate unchanged at 5.25%

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) kept its key repo rate unchanged at 5.25% on Friday, maintaining a neutral stance amid global volatility driven by West Asia tensions and fresh US tariffs. Governor Sanjay Malhotra flagged lingering trade uncertainties and risks to inflation and growth. The RBI projected CPI inflation at 5.0% for the current fiscal year, down 10 basis points from its earlier estimate, while retaining its GDP growth forecast at 6.6%.
