Chinese-made Zbtlink routers found with backdoor

Cybersecurity firm VulnCheck said Wednesday that more than 20 models of Chinese-made Zbtlink routers ship with a backdoor, potentially allowing remote access to networks. At least 100,000 affected routers are deployed worldwide, and the backdoor contacts a specific IP address and Chinese-registered domain every 35 seconds. The discovery adds to Western concerns about Chinese networking equipment, as U.S. regulators have moved to restrict imports.
