Shakib Al Hasan's home attacked after appearing with Hasina

Hours after former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina announced plans to return to Bangladesh, a petrol bomb was hurled at the ancestral home of cricketer Shakib Al Hasan, who had appeared alongside her in a virtual press conference. The attack occurred in Magura's Keshabmor area on Wednesday evening, and the property was vandalised. Hasina, living in India since August 2024, faces a death sentence in absentia and has vowed to return despite risks.
