Nato to rush air defences to Ukraine as Zelenskyy warns of Russian missile surge

Nato is working to urgently supply Ukraine with air defences after Kyiv failed to intercept any Russian ballistic missiles in an overnight attack that killed at least 17 people. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Moscow plans to boost missile production ahead of winter, while noting that allied missile supplies have fallen to a third of 2025 levels. The shortage is partly due to the Middle East conflict consuming Patriot interceptors.
