FIFA pays Jordan prize money after 'blackmail' claim

FIFA has paid overdue prize money to Jordan's national team, two days after Jordan FA president Prince Ali bin Hussein accused FIFA of blackmail. Ali alleged FIFA offered to help Jordan in exchange for his endorsement of President Gianni Infantino. The payment, owed since December for reaching the Arab Cup final, was delivered Thursday. Ali reiterated he will not endorse Infantino, who faces a March election for a fourth term.
