Venugopal accuses government of blocking Parliament debate

Congress MP KC Venugopal on Thursday accused the central government of deliberately stalling parliamentary proceedings, saying the opposition has been ready for discussion "from day one" while the government avoids debates on key issues like donation theft and atrocities against students. He dismissed government outreach to opposition as "eyewash." Separately, he chaired a Public Accounts Committee meeting that examined delays in armed forces salaries and pensions.
